Viscolloids Innovation

Our focus in business is industrial enzymes, microorganisms, and biopharmaceutical ingredients. Our Guar factory and Guar innovation is number one.

Our Viscolloids experts have a crucial influence on technological developments. We transform new technologies into practical solutions and applications, generate added value for our customers and thereby make an active contribution to shaping the long-term future.

Our ambition is clear. In the coming years we will make the difference with Five BioTech Industries. The five prior BioTech Industries we are focusing on are:

    • Guar Gum (in process allready by Viscolloids)
    • Corn Starch
    • Potato Starch
    • Rice Starch
    • Innovative Value Added Binder / Emulsifier

Starch is a carbohydrate consisting of a large number of glucose units joined by glycosidic bonds. This polysaccharide is produced by most green plants as an energy store. It is the most common carbohydrate in human diets and is contained in large amounts in staple foods such as wheat, potatoes, corn, rice and cassava.

Starch is processed to produce many of the sugars in processed foods. Dissolving starch in warm water gives for example wheatpaste, wich can be used as a thickening, stiffening or gluing agent.

There are many, many Industrial food and non food applications for starches globally.

Our ambition is clear.
We lead, others follow!
